3. "Eco-System Coral Reef Safari“
Course Outlines: Corals – stones, plants or animals? A fascinating journey to the greatest builder of our planet earth.
Seminars: Introduction to the Ecosystem Coral Reef, The different Reef types, The Reef Builders – coral polyps (calcium-synthesis, predators, reproduction), Coral Bleaching – only one thread to the fragile ecosystem

5. "Dangerous Marine Species Safari“
Course Outlines: Marine species can be a threat to divers, snorkellers and swimmers. They bite, sting or can be poisonous or venomous. During this Marine Biology Safari participants learn to recognize and avoid accidents. Emergency procedures and First Aid procedures are also a part of the course. A Must for every diver and sea lover!

6. "Invertebrates Safari“
Course Outlines: For everybody with a big interest in small creatures. Learn more about the biology and systematic of Marine Invertebrates: Sponges, Jelly Fishes, Flatworms, Slugs and Nudibranchs, Crabs, Sea Urchins, Starfishes and Cephalopods

7. "Survival of the fittest (Biodiversity) Safari“
Course Outlines: The ecosystem coral reef is home of a wide range of marine species and offers many different forms of partnerships, life styles and surviving strategies.
Seminars: Partnerships (Symbiosis, Parasitism, Commensalisms), Neighborhood Fights - Why some species support each other and why other fight against each other?, How slugs defend themselves (Toxins & bitter substances), The most effectives survival strategies (Camouflage and Deception), Biological War & Chemical Weapons, Survival of the fittest (reproduction strategies)

8. "Reef Check Survey Safari
Course Outlines: Do you want to learn more about coral reefs? Do you want to participate in a scientific research? Then join the global survey of coral reef – Reef Check. Reef Check is the world largest international coral reef monitoring program involving recreational divers and marine scientists. Reef Check goals are long-term monitoring of selected sites, to raise public awareness about value of coral reefs, threats to their health and solutions.
Seminars: Reef Check indicator fishes, Reef Check indicator invertebrates, Substrate – corals, sponges and others, Coral diseases

Special discount for groups:  Every 16th and 22nd participant free of charge!

Extra: VDST Marine Biology Speciality course (50 Euro per person including certification)
Starting harbour: Marsa Alam, Port Ghaleb, Hurghada
Sharm el Sheikh available upon request (transfer costs for Marine Biologiest from Hurghada to Sharm el Sheikh and vice versa to be added on the course price)


Requirements:

• minimum of 12 persons
• for Reef Check Survey Safari divers should have a minimum of 50 logged dives and maintain a good buoyancy
• for VDST Marine Biology course divers should have VDST Bronce, CMAS 1*, PADI Open Water Diver or similar diving certification and a minimum of 20 logged dives
