Blue Eye FX Productions conducts filmmaking workshops based in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. We specialize in teaching new filmmakers techniques including camera skills, editing (together with the use of software such as Final Cut Pro) and special effects amongst others.
 
Blue Eye FX Productions is one of few production companies that offer you the chance to experience a professional filming encounter.

Basic Camera Skills Workshop, 2 days
Price per person on board of SEA QUEEN charter:  Euro 340.00
incl. camera/housing rental (€ 75), 3 dives with camera, 1 DVD

Requirements:40 logged dives
We do not require a minimum of participants.

Workshop details:
The Basic Camera Skills Workshop is a two-day intensive course designed to introduce students to operating a camera underwater.
 
This workshop is a two-day intensive, practical, hands-on course covering basic aspects of filming underwater video. The course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of underwater videography and will allow you to experience filming underwater by yourself.
Using equipment supplied for your individual use – Sony 3-chip DV cameras  Amphibico housings – you will be taught one-to-one by professional filmmakers. Expect an Open Water dive featuring the magnificent wildlife to be found in the Red Sea.
You will receive a DVD of all of the practical exercises you have taken part in plus a DVD of your own production.

Advanced Camera Skills Workshop, 6 days 
Price per person on board of SEA QUEEN charter:  Euro 850.00
incl. 10 dives with camera, 2 DVD
Languages:English, French and Italian
Requirements:60 logged dives, own DV camera and housing
We do require a minimum of 4 participants.
 
The Advanced Camera Skills training is a six-day intensive, practical, hands-on course covering advanced aspects of underwater video production. The course is designed to take students from introductory phases in underwater videography through to developing confidence in producing their own underwater films. 
Students will also have the opportunity to assist the Blue Eye FX crew on a professional shoot.
This six-day training trip is the perfect way to learn underwater wildlife filming techniques. A student will need to bring their own equipment  – a DV cameras and a housing – you will be taught one-to-one by professional filmmakers. Expect over ten dives during this Workshop and the magnificent wildlife you will find in the Red Sea.
You will receive a DVD of all of the practical exercises you have taken part in plus a DVD of your own production.
Unlike film school, we customize each syllabus. For students who walk in with an existing script or project, we will tailor the program to the specifics of that project. Ask us  for the sample syllabus – a template we use as a starting point in designing a personalized video training program.
